HELP with car subwoofer amplifier settings!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
i have a sony XM9011GTR mono 1300W 2-channel apmlifier that is powering two 10 inch subs. there are a few settings on this amp that i cant get right. the subs sound excellent with rap and r&b but with rock they sound really distorted. i sont want to loose the bass with the rap but i want rock song to hit cleaner. there is a gain setting that i have 3/4 the way up, a subsonic filter at 20hz, a bass boost that is only turned up a little, and a LPF at 87-85. What Can i do to help it sound better?
i previously had another amp(that burned up) and they sounded good but i cant get the settings right with this new amp. any advice?
100hz is a good place to put the lpf, turn of the bass boost that just means instant distortion and probably reset the gain.
